Mini-Split Repair — Book a Visit Today

We repair ductless mini-splits and multi-zone systems across Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, so if one head is blowing warm or the whole system keeps shutting down, call us and we will get on the schedule. Most failures we see come from clogged condensate drains, dirty blower wheels, failed indoor board or sensor, low refrigerant charge from a loose flare connection, or an outdoor inverter and compressor problem. A visit starts with the head that is misbehaving, then the line set and the outdoor unit, then the electrical and communication wiring between them. Multi-zone systems add branch boxes and zone valves to the list. You get the fault explained in plain words and the repair options before we touch anything. Send us a message or call to book air conditioning repair.

The mini-split symptoms we hear most

  • One head blows warm while the others cool fine Zone control fault, branch box or expansion valve on that circuit, or a failed indoor sensor
  • Water dripping down the wall under the indoor unit Blocked condensate drain, sagging drain line, or a failed condensate pump
  • The head smells musty every time it starts Biological growth on the blower wheel and coil, often with a slow drain pan
  • Remote shows an error code and the unit shuts off Communication or sensor fault between indoor and outdoor units, or an inverter board problem
  • Outdoor unit runs but nothing feels cold in the house Low refrigerant charge from a leak at a flare fitting, or a failed compressor or reversing valve

People call this mini-split repair or ductless AC repair. Same visit, same written quote, same technician.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the remote or wall thermostat batteries and confirm the mode is set to cool or heat and not fan only or dry.
  • 2Look at the breaker panel and any outdoor disconnect for a tripped breaker, and reset it once. If it trips again, stop and call us.
  • 3Pull the washable filters out of each indoor head and rinse or replace them, since a loaded filter alone can ice a coil and cut airflow.
  • 4Clear leaves, grass clippings, mulch and stored items away from the outdoor unit so it has open space on all sides.

Mini-Split Repair — quick answers

Can you repair a mini-split, or do we have to replace the whole system?

Most of what we find is repairable. Drains, blower wheels, sensors, boards, contactors and leaking flare connections are all serviceable parts. We recommend replacement only when a compressor or a discontinued board makes the repair cost close to a new system.

Why does only one zone stop working on a multi-zone system?

Multi-zone systems split refrigerant through a branch box, and each head has its own expansion device, sensors and control board. A fault in any one of those affects that room alone while the rest of the system keeps running normally.

Is water leaking from the indoor head an emergency?

It is not a life safety issue, but it will damage drywall and flooring fast. Turn that head off at the remote, put a towel or pan underneath, and call us. The drain line is usually blocked with slime or pitched wrong.

Do mini-splits need cleaning as part of repair?

Often yes. The blower wheel inside a ductless head collects a film of dust and growth that chokes airflow and causes water to spit out the front. A deep cleaning of the wheel, coil and pan fixes complaints that look electrical at first.

My mini-split heats poorly on the coldest mornings. Is it broken?

Not always. Heat pump heads lose capacity as outdoor temperatures drop, and defrost cycles pause heating for a few minutes. If the head blows cool air for long stretches or the outdoor coil stays iced, that is a repair we should look at.

How long does a mini-split repair visit take?

Simple work like clearing a drain, replacing a capacitor or swapping a sensor usually wraps up in one visit. Leak searches, blower wheel cleanings and board replacements can take longer or need a return trip once the part arrives.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form and describe what the system is doing. Warm air, short cycling, water on the floor, a smell, a noise. That detail tells us what parts to load on the truck.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the ductwork. You hear what we found in plain language before anything gets replaced or repaired.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the fix

We explain the repair, what it costs and what happens if you wait a season. Nothing gets done without your go-ahead, and we tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know humid-climate systemsAcross the region the real enemy is moisture. Systems here run long hours pulling water out of the air, and that shows up as frozen coils, clogged drains and mildew smells. We diagnose for humidity, not just temperature.
  • Mixed gas and heat pump workPlenty of homes we visit run a heat pump with gas backup, and the two have to hand off cleanly. We troubleshoot both sides, including defrost boards, reversing valves, ignitors and heat exchanger concerns.
  • Attic ductwork is our daily breadMid-century homes often have ducts running through attics that hit brutal temperatures. Crushed runs, disconnected boots and leaking joints steal cooling before it reaches the room. We find them instead of blaming the equipment.
  • Repair before replaceA capacitor, a contactor, a blower motor or a clogged drain line fixes a lot of the calls we take. We would rather fix what you have and tell you plainly when the numbers stop working.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
