AC Repair — Book a Visit Today

We handle air conditioning repair on gas and electric systems across Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, and the fastest next step is to call us with what the system is doing right now. Most calls come down to a failed capacitor, a burned condenser fan motor, a refrigerant leak, a contactor that stopped pulling in, a plugged drain, or a compressor that will not start. A visit starts with your description, then we check the thermostat call, the electrical side at the outdoor unit, airflow through the indoor coil, and refrigerant pressures. We tell you what failed, what it takes to fix it, and whether the rest of the system is worth keeping. If the house is dangerously hot, say so when you call and we will move you up.

AC Repair — residential AC being serviced

The AC symptoms we hear most

  • Air is blowing but it feels warm Low refrigerant charge, a leak, or an outdoor unit that is not running with the indoor blower
  • The outside unit hums and then quits Failed start or run capacitor, a seized condenser fan motor, or a compressor drawing hard on startup
  • It runs all afternoon and never reaches the thermostat setting Undersized airflow, a dirty coil, duct losses through a hot attic, or a slow refrigerant leak
  • Water on the ceiling or around the indoor unit Clogged condensate drain or a frozen evaporator coil melting back
  • Breaker keeps tripping when the AC starts Electrical fault, a failing compressor, or a motor pulling more current than it should

People call this air conditioning repair, air conditioner repair, air conditioning service or AC repair. Same visit, same written quote, same technician.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1 Check the thermostat: fresh batteries, set to cool, and the fan set to auto rather than off.
  • 2 Look at the breaker panel and see whether the AC breaker has tripped. If it trips again after you reset it once, stop and call us.
  • 3 Pull the filter and hold it to the light. If you cannot see through it, change it before anything else.
  • 4 Walk out to the outdoor unit and clear grass clippings, leaves, cottonwood fluff and stacked items back a couple of feet on all sides.

AC Repair — quick answers

How fast can you get here when the AC quits?

Call us and tell us the indoor temperature, who is in the house, and what the system is doing. Emergency AC repair calls with heat-sensitive family members or a house climbing past comfortable get moved up in the day's schedule.

My AC is not cooling at all. Is that always refrigerant?

No. More often it is a capacitor, a contactor, a fan motor, a tripped breaker or a plugged drain shutting the system down on a safety switch. Refrigerant only leaves a sealed system through a leak, so we look for the leak rather than just adding gas.

Can you just top off the refrigerant?

Adding refrigerant to a leaking system buys weeks, not seasons. We find the leak first, show you where it is, then quote the repair against the age and condition of the system so you can decide whether to fix or replace.

Is a bad capacitor a small repair?

Usually yes. Capacitor and fan motor replacement is one of the more common same-visit fixes we do, and it often gets cooling back the same afternoon. We also check what killed it, because heat, age and a dirty coil all shorten capacitor life.

How do I know if the compressor is failing?

Common signs are a loud hum with no start, breakers tripping, or cooling that fades over weeks. We test electrically before condemning anything. Compressor repair or replacement is a bigger decision, so we walk you through the age and refrigerant type first.

What if I smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide?

Leave the building right away, take everyone with you, and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Do not flip switches or go looking for the source. Once the utility says the property is safe, call us and we will inspect the equipment.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form and describe what the system is doing. Warm air, short cycling, water on the floor, a smell, a noise. That detail tells us what parts to load on the truck.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the ductwork. You hear what we found in plain language before anything gets replaced or repaired.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the fix

We explain the repair, what it costs and what happens if you wait a season. Nothing gets done without your go-ahead, and we tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know humid-climate systemsAcross the region the real enemy is moisture. Systems here run long hours pulling water out of the air, and that shows up as frozen coils, clogged drains and mildew smells. We diagnose for humidity, not just temperature.
  • Mixed gas and heat pump workPlenty of homes we visit run a heat pump with gas backup, and the two have to hand off cleanly. We troubleshoot both sides, including defrost boards, reversing valves, ignitors and heat exchanger concerns.
  • Attic ductwork is our daily breadMid-century homes often have ducts running through attics that hit brutal temperatures. Crushed runs, disconnected boots and leaking joints steal cooling before it reaches the room. We find them instead of blaming the equipment.
  • Repair before replaceA capacitor, a contactor, a blower motor or a clogged drain line fixes a lot of the calls we take. We would rather fix what you have and tell you plainly when the numbers stop working.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
