AC Replacement

We replace worn out or failed air conditioning systems in homes across Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. Replacement is the right call when the compressor has failed, the refrigerant circuit is leaking in several places, or repair costs keep stacking up on a system that is well past its useful years. Call us and we will look at the equipment you have, measure what the house actually needs, and lay out your options before anything gets pulled out.

Whether you call it AC replacement, air conditioner replacement or new AC installation, the work is identical and so is the quote you approve first.

What an AC replacement involves

We start by recovering refrigerant from the old system and disconnecting it properly, then remove the outdoor condenser and the indoor coil or air handler. New equipment gets set on a level pad or hung in the attic, line sets are either reused after testing or run new, and the electrical and condensate connections are made up. We pressure test, pull a deep vacuum, weigh in the correct charge, then run the system and check temperatures at the supply and return before we leave.

What we check and install

A new condenser and matched indoor coil are the core of the job, but the parts around them decide how the system performs. We look at duct sizing and any leaks in attic runs, since a lot of homes in this region lose cooling before it ever reaches the bedrooms. We check the condensate drain and pan, the disconnect and breaker, the thermostat wiring, and the filter cabinet. If the old equipment was undersized or oversized, we correct that rather than repeating it.

How we decide replacement is the right call

We would rather repair a system that has years left in it. Replacement makes sense when the compressor is dead, when a coil is leaking and the same refrigerant keeps disappearing, or when the system is old enough that parts are hard to source. Humidity is the other tell. If your house feels clammy at the set temperature, the equipment may be badly matched to the home. We will tell you plainly which side of that line your system falls on.

AC Replacement — quick answers

How long does an AC replacement take?

Most straight swaps are done in a day. If ductwork needs repair, the attic run is tight, or we are changing the type of system, it can stretch into a second day. We will tell you before we start.

Should I replace the indoor coil too?

Yes, in almost every case. A new outdoor unit paired with an old indoor coil rarely performs as designed and can shorten the life of the new compressor. Matched components cool and dehumidify the way they should.

Can I replace just the AC and keep my furnace?

Often you can, if the furnace is in good shape and the blower suits the new cooling capacity. We check the blower, the cabinet size and the coil fit, then tell you whether it works.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form and describe what the system is doing. Warm air, short cycling, water on the floor, a smell, a noise. That detail tells us what parts to load on the truck.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the ductwork. You hear what we found in plain language before anything gets replaced or repaired.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the fix

We explain the repair, what it costs and what happens if you wait a season. Nothing gets done without your go-ahead, and we tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know humid-climate systemsAcross the region the real enemy is moisture. Systems here run long hours pulling water out of the air, and that shows up as frozen coils, clogged drains and mildew smells. We diagnose for humidity, not just temperature.
  • Mixed gas and heat pump workPlenty of homes we visit run a heat pump with gas backup, and the two have to hand off cleanly. We troubleshoot both sides, including defrost boards, reversing valves, ignitors and heat exchanger concerns.
  • Attic ductwork is our daily breadMid-century homes often have ducts running through attics that hit brutal temperatures. Crushed runs, disconnected boots and leaking joints steal cooling before it reaches the room. We find them instead of blaming the equipment.
  • Repair before replaceA capacitor, a contactor, a blower motor or a clogged drain line fixes a lot of the calls we take. We would rather fix what you have and tell you plainly when the numbers stop working.
